MSRI will hold a semester-long program entitled "Decidability, Definability, and Computability in Number Theory," from August 17 – December 18, 2020. Mathematicians in relevant areas are encouraged to apply, either for semester-long professorships (for which the application period runs August 1 – October 1, 2019), for memberships for shorter visits, or to attend any of the three workshops that will be part of this program. Details appear at the webpage
and in links available there. The organizers of this program are Valentina Harizanov (George Washington University), Maryanthe Malliaris (University of Chicago), Barry Mazur (Harvard University), Russell Miller (Queens College, CUNY), Jonathan Pila (University of Oxford), Thomas Scanlon (University of California, Berkeley), Alexandra Shlapentokh (East Carolina University), and Carlos Videla (Mount Royal University). Final decisions about membership will be made by MSRI’s Scientific Advisory Committee.
